CrystalQ
CrystalQ Group B.V. based in Stadskanaal, The Netherlands, offers sapphire substrates of superior quality meeting specific customer requirements and SEMI-standards in the High-Brightness LED and semiconductor industry. The production facilities have been set-up to generate a new standard of substrates, which are not only CMP polished. Perfect surface quality is developed by consistent use of state-of-the art polishing processes, equipment and measurement control systems. CrystalQ's flexible organisation focuses on continuous improvement, innovation and research & development.
EnOcean GmbH
Headquartered in Oberhaching, Germany, the company manufactures and markets maintenance-free wireless sensor solutions for use in buildings and industrial installations. EnOcean products are based on a combination of miniaturized energy converters, ultra-low-power electronic circuitry and reliable wireless. There are already wireless components in use in more than 100,000 buildings. EnOcean GmbH is a promoter of the EnOcean Alliance, a federation of leading companies from the world's building sector that has set itself the aim of creating innovative solutions for sustainable building.
Epyon
Epyon B.V., based in Rijswijk, The Netherlands, a spin-off company from the Delft University of Technology, has developed a suite of ultra fast charging technologies capable of reducing charge times for electric vehicles from hours to minutes while maintaining the cycle lifetime and performance of the battery.
General Fusion
General Fusion is working on a new, patent pending concept based on a recent development in fusion research called Magnetized Target Fusion (MTF). MTF has been building momentum in the fusion community for a few years now. It is the goal of General Fusion to demonstrate this new clean, safe and economical concept by 2013.
O-flexx Technologies GmbH
O-Flexx Technologies, based in Duisburg, Germany, develops and manufactures thermoelectric modules on the basis of its unrivalled technology. To this end, O-Flexx has a broad portfolio of basic patents, an in-depth understanding of process technology and a close-knit network of R&D partnerships in industry and higher education.
SolarTotal
SolarTotal Holding B.V., based in Elst, The Netherlands, sells photovoltaic systems that use solar cells to convert light into electricity. Its focus is on the residential market and the commercial sector. SolarTotal was founded in the Netherlands in 2006 and has 7 subsidiaries in Belgium, France, Spain, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany and China. Revenues are generated through direct sales as well as franchisees of the ‘total solution’ concept. Currently, it has over 300 employees and franchisees.
