We help to build successful companies and do all that is necessary to facilitate success. The management of SET Venture Partners believes that being actively involved in the company building process alongside the executive team reduces the risk while maximizing the return.
Innovative Technology
Having an interesting technology is not sufficient; we are looking for an economic value proposition that works to solve a problem in the market. We look to invest in technology solutions a customer would buy, but also in combination with an underpinned business model, including protection of intellectual property, that has created a clear lead over competitors.
Financing Needs
Great teams with promising technology require appropriate funding. While willing to get involved in early-stage opportunities, we look at the total expected funding need and the likelihood that success will be achieved. Detailed budgets, both on the revenue and cost side, are typically a good indication of management experience as well as the total finance risk to the venture. Investments size may range from € 0.5 million to a max of € 5 million over the lifetime of the participation.
Interaction
Interaction with our Limited Partners is an effective way to assist the team in realizing SET Venture Partners' mission. The main body for interaction is the Deal Flow Review Committee, through which senior executives from each LP meet with SET Venture Partners' management to review every proposed investment and provide feedback.
